I would look for some older....

Tara Labs cabling. These can be found quite inexpensively and will probably help with the problems you seek to band-aid.

Personally, i would avoid the earlier suggestion of Kimber 4PR. In my experience, this cable tends to add a certain "zippiness" to high frequency information. From what i'm reading in your post, this is exactly what you are trying to avoid. The Kimber TC series of cabling does not suffer from this, so i'm assuming that it has something to do with the quality of conducting and dielectric materials. Sean
