Interconnects, speaker wire, power cords. Ask the Cable Guys.

My amp is a bit of a brute -- an old Proton AA2120, 120 wpc dual mono. I didn't check the current draw because my main speakers are 91 db sensitivity and at my listening level the meters on the amp peak at about 0.5 watt output. When I said heavy current draw it was relative to the rest of the components.

I believe in big power supplies. That's why I have such a big amp. I really don't need the output. Plugging the amp directly reduces constraints on the power supply.

At this point I am happy with I have and would not do it differently. I should also note that the cable run for the 20 amp circuit, from the breaker box to the outlet, is about 10 feet.

I think that Einstein was brighter than I.
