Re: Question about terminating Oyaide AC plugs (Duster?)

My recent (limited to two plugs...) experience in terminating the Oyaide 46 plugs (one IEC, one schuko) is, that one ends up with exactly the problem you have until one finds out how to properly do it.
After trying a few times to fit the Tsunami cable to these plugs and getting to the same point you did, I found out that I had to do the following in order to be able to get all the strands of the thick wire into the receptacles:

1)Do not cut off the insulation on each wire more than 12 mm (1/2 in)
2)Leave the bunch of wires after you take off the isulation, exactly as they were inside the each wire insulation - do not twist the thin copper strands together (and don't solder them together)!
3) Probably you should push all 3 wires into the holes at the same time, otherwise one has a hard time to bend and insert properly the second or esp. the third wire in sequence.
4) The Oyaide recommended length of each wire of 25.5 mm (1 in) (after the main overall insulation, the copper shield and the second black insulation is removed, is probably not enough. On the other hand the Takefiveaudio recommendation of 35 mm may be to large, so that the plug clamp may not tighten at the full cable, but come already at the 3 individual wires...
The second point procedure will enable you the many strands to take a shape suitable to pass the hole available to push into and the first will help in keeping the strands sufficiently together so they will not bend. As for the fourth point, you may have to experiment with the length to end with a proper fit.
I feel Oyaide could do better with their instructions how to terminate their quite expensive AC plugs...
