thanks Bill,the bluejeans belden sounds promising for $10. i think i'm losing my sensitivity to high frequencies anyway (and i'm 33). i sorta liked the spitty-ness of the KEF T27 tweeters sqwaking at full throttle. sounds fun. besides, i use tube amps/preamp. so that will warm things up a bit.
