Home Cable Asylum

Interconnects, speaker wire, power cords. Ask the Cable Guys.

You might try Kimber 4PR..

...or 8PR if your run is >8 feet.

I did cable comparisons years ago using speakers with a very wide impedance variation (a tough load) and interestingly, even though this cable sounded a little mellow in the treble compared with some others, when I broke out my test gear and measured the transfer function, it actually had better a high frequency response and was essentially flat through the audio range.

In long term listening it satisfied while the others, which were more exciting at first, became annoying. The speakers have worn out (blasted foam surrounds) but I still use the cable. In fact I currently have two systems wired with it, one with Ti dome tweeters and one with EMIT (electromagnetic planar) tweeters and mids.

It's an accurate cable with small current loops so it's not fussy about routing and external fields. And at ~$2/foot, affordable.

Good luck in your quest, Rick
