on the outside of the cable and use this for pin 1 on each end with maybe the ceramic disc on the load end and just forget about the shield?
Would this be better than using the shield with a cap at the load end?
I do have some cryoed 1506a around still, I think I will experiment with your R-C method as well.
My preamp is a true Balanced but not sure about the Dac and Amp. I do get about a 4 db gain when I use Balanced interconnects if that is an indicater.
