Which cables for Theta DSPRO GEN III and Data II?

Hi all,

i still have my ancient (1993) Theta DSPro GENIII DAC and Data II transport. I've never fully understood what's the best connections for these things.

there's RCA out from the transport to the DAC. which is what I'm currently using. just a $25 Tributaries Delta 75ohm RCA cable. there's also coax and the DAC has balanced XLR. I'm a novice at this stuff. the XLR is useless, i assume if my preamp doesn't have balanced inputs, right? (MFA Magus C).

so, my question is, is there a difference in sound quality between using the RCA or the F-conn (coax) jacks for connecting the transport to the DAC? i don't see a balanced output on the transport.

lastly, do i HAVE to use a 75ohm cable? i plan on trying a Paul speltz anticable interconnect to see what it sounds like. if i want to upgrade the 75ohm cable, what do you guys think of these affordable alternatives? any better than the tributaries i have already?:
