I've used them for phono ICs with one pair per channel.They sounded all right, IIRC. The usual single-strand, fine gauge sound: fast transients, good decay, a nice edge or bite to the piano, cymbals, and drums/bass; good top-end.
However, the instruments lacked body, the soundstage was collapsed, and the bass was lacking.
The Teflon-sheathed silver twisted braid I tried was similar, though with more body and better bass.
I ended up sticking with my Kimber TAK-H as it had all those features plus body, depth, and soundstage.
