12 gage solid core for speakers.

Today I came home from Home Despot with some indoor building wire. 12/2 NM-B. I cut open the outer insulation jacket to extract the individual leads within. I used twisted pair configuration for this, my first trial.

I can't tell what the jacket material is over the copper. It does not look like pvc. Likely it is some kind of poly_. The wire is very stiff and does not handle easily. This will put off some folks, I'm sure.

Up to this point I have refrained from making statements to the effect that I've heard improvements and such.....and I'm not quite going to make one here. I will say this one interests me.
