Hi.
It will take forever to break in an IC or power cord thoroughly.
I use a jump start by loading my ICs & power cords, 4N silver or OFHC copper, with a 20KHz wideband white noise high power signal, which represents full range audio signals. Of course, the receiving end of the cord must be loaded with a resistive dummy load.
Fast & effective.
