I am in the process of ordering a 65 Wpc push pull tube power amp that has a seperate power supply with a cable. The designer has put the cable inside a shileding tube that looks like a plastic flexible cover used to protect outdoor and underground cables. It's ugly. I want to be a little smarter before i talk to the designer.1. What do you think the reason for this shielding is? I wasn't planning on putting my cable outdoors or underground.
2. Do these types of power cables benefit from a specific type construction?
3. What would that be?
