4 conductors of 18 gaugeHowever, it could mean 2 pairs, 4 pairs, or a total of each gauge respectively. Check out Canare's site: www.canare.com. They have specs listed, though insulation materials may not be there. I have a feeling they use PVC widely however.
Each one is good for a different purtpose, it deopends on what you're using it for.
