Very pertinent posts all, very much appreciated! For the jumpers I see some options:
(1) continue with single large-gauge bare copper wire per set of 3 binder posts.
(2) similar but using unterminated 99.99997% pure single crystal silver jumpers (90 mm long) -- I found those in the UK (eBay) and would be interested to try. There it says: "two 18 guage (1mm) pieces twisted together and soldered only at the ends with High Content Silver Solder. These are also supplied with Clear Teflon."
(3) Chela
(4) Siltech LS-100 G3 (I can get a 1m piece at a reasonable price)
(5) Oyaide Tunami kernels (I might shorten one of my power cables to use it for this purpose)
(6) internally rewire the Spendor SP 100´s so that all wires go to the LF binding posts.I have opened the speakers to look at option (6) but I simply do not dare to change anything inside!
Having said this, I am inclined to go for (2) as I would prefer not having to terminate with spades. Also the fact that it is one jumper that touches all 3 binding posts directly (and not two) appeals to me, especially given HumanMedia´s experience with ´parallel´ setup of the jumpers.
Any ideas whether the silver jumpers would work in this setup?
Thanks & regards,
Dennis
