There is no reason to worry about a mix from a "rule breaking" POV. There are often differerent types of connectors placed at each end of speaker cables such as bananas terminated on one end and spades on the other. Analysis Plus (at least in the past) used gold plated WBT bananas on end end and silver plated copper spades on the other as a termination option (indeed very dissimilar connectors). The binding post make/model placed at each end of a speaker cable's interface is often dissimilar, as well.In your case, having a set of gold spades on one end and rhodium on the other might prove nice depending on what particular binding posts are placed on each the amplifier's and loudspeaker's ends. What type of binding posts does your amplification and loudspeaker's each use?
