Do NOT under any circumstance endanger yourself or others by using this cable as a power cable. It just isn't strong enough to handle the heat, current, and wear that is expected of AC cables. I am an electrician who has seen plenty of over loaded cables in my day and they are usually approved for high current use. But overload is overload and inherently unstable and dangerous.I also use the CHeLA cables as speaker cables and love them.
If you want to DIY a power cable Chris has great cable for sale that not only is safe, but sounds great.
