While some power cord products do offer a filtering action, this is not the typical point of high performance power cords, "as a concept". A power line conditioner is more often than not a more effective filter than what filtered power cord's provide. Any "filtering action" that a high performance power cord provides is most often based on noise rejection/cancellation/suppression based on geometry and/or shielding which is not the same as filtering via a ferrite noise blocker or impregnated RF-absorbive material in it's insulation.VH Audio's power cord products are not a "bandwagon product", they are a more *refined product line* than any AudioQuest power cord I know of.
