I bet you have an arrester! The time it triggers, and you get a few kilovolts.
I'm somehow trained in some knowledge about lighning and ligtning protection, since I've designed for 10 years (from '88 to '9) avionic systems in "essential" and "critical" levels of safety .

I'm sorry for the 3750 volts, but I do hold my own, this is for lightning-INDUCED voltage protection. OK for the "Induced" that I forgot in my previous post. And as for a direct stroke, you've better to have arresters...
