How you doin'?I considered the same project, but stalled at the cost of the teflon tubing, because I was going to make a pair of 10' long ICs. Rather expensive in teflon. Was intrigued by the cotton rope bit. I used cotton piping stuffing from a fabric store on another IC project with magnet wire, but it was rather squirrelly to work with and insufficiently stiff to handle, so the rope sounds better. I read one guy using the outer covering of a nylon rope (filled with cotton?) instead of techflex as a jacket. There are all sorts of variations.
How'd you do on the iso tranny after all? Mine's cooking nicely.
