No legal precedent was set by this trial. A jury listened to both legal teams, viewed the evidence presented, listened to testimony (BTW, one of the prosecution's witnesses was the most damning to the prosecutions own case) and deliberated for several days.
Found the defendant not guilty.
There's nothing in the verdict that gives people a constitutional right to open fire at will on people they don't like.
At any rate, people already open fire at the drop of a hat, for stupid stuff too. Like, is Alabama's football team better than Texas A&M's? They didn't need permission from a jury in Wisconsin.
The problem is not that there is evil in the world, the problem is that there is good. Because otherwise, who would care?
