I don't defend ashley babbitt. You can argue the cop shouldn't have shot her but it's weak. She was participating in a riot that was forcefully entering a building. She forced law enforcement to make a judgement call and she guessed wrong. It's similar to the Jacob Blake shooting. Maybe the cop shouldn't have shot him but he had a knife and appeared to be in the process of kidnapping his ex's kids. Don't force these decisions on cops and there's pretty much zero chance of getting shot.
