Yep.

State and locals use brine here, much worse than just plain salt. Brine will penetrate where rock salt won't. And all we need a threat of snow and the trucks roll.
Policy is that roads must be clear of snow and/or ice no more than an hour after the snow stops.
We haven't had a big snowfall since February of 2010, but we do get a lot of lake effect snow. Inch here, inch there, usually in the early morning. Therefore, lots of salt brine.
