IN the middle of last summer, I found common brown ants on my kitchen counter. Unacceptable.
I tracked them down to an electrical outlet on the wall that has a window.
So, I got some Hot Shot Clear Gel Roach and Ant Bait. I comes in a fat syringe. I shut off the electricity, removed the plate, removed the electrical outlet itself, and injected the stuff into the area behind the wall. I then reasssembled and put a clear acrylic caulk seal around the plate.
No more ants.
Until today. In Chicago, we've has a week of unseasonably hot, wet days.
I've just killed 2 ants crawling on my counter.
How do I get rid of this pestilence forever?
Also, how are they getting in? My house is brick. However, the window by the kitchen counter may have a section of rotting frame.
