Would you start broadcasting when the very last group to tee off approaches # 15? Then, of course, you'd miss the occasional comeback from a player who teed off earlier not to mention the shotmaking and drama on holes 1-14. As far as Joe Buck, as long as the announcer isn't an ass I'm ok as generally the golf speaks for itself and doesn't need an announcer to make it exciting. It's either gonna have drama and excitement or, like today, not.
