These gizmos are L-brackets; most tripod ballhead makers have them to work with their quick release head clamps.
These attach to the camera bottom like a quick release plate, allow a quick change to the vertical position, then reclamp.
Most of these work interchangeably between brands, based on the Area-Swissdesign format. Check with RRS to see if their's is universal design. Probably so.
