I worked from home sporadically due to different reasons. I ran my laptop on the dining table and it was cool most times.
I had trouble with telecom meetings when invariably UPS or FedEx would pull up anywhere near my house and my dogs would go nuts. I would have to move to the back patio which can be either cold or hot depending and of course my laptop was then unavailable to me unless I waded back into the fracas.
I enjoyed many of my co-workers, discussing various things and going to lunch. I wouldn't have wanted to work from home constantly.
