"Oor Willie" to most Scots was/is a cartoon character from the Dundee press. He belongs to another era.
Most Scots aren't particularly keen on the Monarchy (some claim to be, but it's mostly an anachronistic religious thing involving Ireland/Scotland/Celtic/Rangers)
I'd show them the door personally if I ever got the chance.....
