Well said Tim….

however I’m not into politics so you just have to bear with me on another topic. I want you to know a little bit of what my group does and what kind of service we provide to our company. My group comprises of highly trained accomplished engineering professionals that relies heavily on the new technologies to get the job done. We utilized these technologies to aid us to mitigate, investigate, monitor, and maintain our company’s facility asset integrity. Case in point, I supposed it is safe to say that everybody is aware that oil & gas industry is notoriously destructive to its working environment when building infrastructure and or extracting oil and gas from the ground. Our company relies on our group’s technology and expertise to mitigate and minimized the affect of its environment by providing our geologist and facility engineers with multi spectral and panchromatic satellite images at .5m (1 ½ ft. there about) pixel resolution of the proposed area at the earliest part of the project’s scoping. Arm with this kind of high resolution information they are able to see the whole picture clearly without any doubts of what kind of problem they’ll be running into and what sort of strategy they would have to implement during the project to lessen its impact on the environment.

With that, my group is very dynamic, off the wall and always pushing the envelope to its limit of bursting regarding the technology that we utilized however, we do have a symbiotic synergy with IT resource as we need them to build and support our group’s infrastructure. I hired consultants for special skills that is required to build the infrastructure of my vision in which were based entirely on the business need. I also hired FTE to maintain the infrastructure after the consultants leave. The overall landscape of the employee turnover in our company as a whole isn’t as bad as some have predicted. Anyway, my main concern right now is how I can keep my direct reports motivated, interested and satisfied.
