When I was a kid, I remember looking at the tube receivers on display at our A&S store in the Flatbush, Brooklyn area. I was mesmerized. I had to settle for a simple FM stereo for the common folks and that was my focus for at least five more years until I discovered girls in High School (actually, some girls were really precocious even in Middle School)!Something like in the URL link.
However, now I see so many adds for Marantz transistor stuff in the one thousand range and I really have to question why anyone would want them?
