Yes
The stereo light is turned on and off by a signal that triggers a transistor that supplies the voltage to the stereo light.Being the light stays on even tho the tuner isn't on,it is most likely a shorted transistor that drives that light.It is simply passing the supply voltage to the light to keep it on. Do you have a schematic to the unit?
