I'm using Telefuken 7189, Mullard 7247 and Mullard 5AR4.
The caps are all original (!)--I bought this amp at a garage sale with no tubes, but totally complete w/cage for $25.00.

I stuffed in the tubes, brought it up on a variac and have been listening to it almost every day for 5 years with no modifications at all. It is a very sweet sounding amp and have found it to be excellent for listening to bebop and even some big-band jazz at pretty good volume through the Tannoys. It doesn't have the rock-solid bass of my McIntosh amps, but it is really "pretty."

The SA-100 (and the SA-300, the EL34 big brother) are very well-made amps--the chassis are solid copper and the iron is pretty hefty for a tiny little 20wpc P/P amp. It also has very handy external bias and gain control knobs.

I love this little amp. By the way, what do they go for on ebay?
I would think it shoud be worth at least 3 or 4 hundred bucks in good condition.
