RE: What is the best sounding small speakers you ever heard?

For the Superscope, with 7 watts, efficency is far more important than acuracy for the most livable sound. here is the list:

Fostex diriver in a DIY cabent
Sansui SP-30
Small version of the Zeneth Allegro
Small Scott speakers
Utah 8" full range

Kenwood (trio), Mistiubishi, Panasonic, etc. 8" alnico, 1 or 2 way speakers designed for small systems. There are loads of these about and some are very good sounding. If they are 2 way, they will have a cone tweeter and a single cap crossover.

For the Marantz, I would recommend:

Spika
Radio Shack Minimus 7
ADS L-300 and L-400
Visonc David
M&K
Energy
Boston Accoustics
