Which tuner to get and getting the most from it. Thank God, for the radio!

RE: Marantz 10B noise

Hi,

Thanks for reply, i have another tuner but is not really cheaper, it is a Mc intosh MR 71 ! no problems with it on this station but i have an external roof antenna with a 75 ohms cable. The 10 B have a balanced 300 ohms antenna input and i did not find at this time a 300 ohms shielded cable for a good antenna, the high sensitivity of this tuner make a good result even with a small inside dipole. I will take the time to make a tuned "balun" on this station ( 100 MHz) to match the roof antenna to the 10 B input . The multipath scope is not showing very bad reception on this noisy station : the spot is 7 mm wide above the center and have not a wave form .
Regards,
paul-emile
