"I have no manual, anyone know what the SD card slot is for on the front?"I may be going out on a limb here, but I'm leaning toward the assumption that it's to facilitate, and perhaps even encourage the insertion of an SD card.
By the way, I performed a Google search of "grace digital internet radio tuner SD card", and without even having to click on any of the links, look what I found:
