yes... i have seen lots of japanese schematics do this to get a seperate driver supply... off of a trannie with extra filament windings...using it for both a filament and then a B+... might be a bit more sketchy, since any diode noise and odd charging currents will show up directly on the filament of the tube being heated... will it cause problems in an IDT... probably not...maybe it will for the 6C45 and other high gm types... so will it work... yes... how well will it work??? try it and see.
