RE: Increasing the coupling cap from .12, which is what is being used . .

You will not know what the result will be unless you model the whole schematic in LtSpice and do a frequency plot.You may just shift the response enough lower to get subsonic motorboating. You'll also change the response curve in the bass region as the output transformer start to have more phase shift due to the inductance not being enough for the lowest frequencies.

In other words: you are likely to upset the stability, sometimes even 50% increase is enough.
