RE: Millett low-mu preamp




Got my new power transformer with a heck of a lot more current capacity, it looks more industrial without end bells but I might find a cover or something for it eventually. I think I got it dialed in now, 125V on the plates with 50mA current. Still no hum at all! It does something really nice with the top end that I didn't get without the preamp. Sounds great with the KT88 SE amp, and now I can drive it to full output from all sources. Now I'm just waiting for some knobs for the volume and input selector, maybe I'll spin up some wooden ones on my lathe.
