I have drawers full of 0.1uF Russian teflon caps and I don't use anything else. FT-3 is the best, but if the voltage is 200v or under I use the smaller size FT-2 and parallel them up for higher values. I once did a big capacitor shootout and they were the ones I preferred. Simple solution and cheap for what they are.
