My choice of EML 45's for my 26-26 DC 45 amp.......

... EML 45S or EML 45M , solid plate or mesh plate....

Well it came down to not much of a choice for me...... It seems since
the time I purchased my EML 2A3 Mesh plates and Dec. 2016 (about a year and a 1/2 ) there was a significant price increase on all Mesh plate tubes. ... So for my birthday Santa brought me a new pair of EML 45 tubes.

So it had to be 45S's for me....... I'm I disappointed not to have Meshie 45's maybe a little, but I can still run my 2A3 Meshie in that amp and hear the Meshie-ness.

But I can say the EML 45 Solid plates are definitely a great sounding tube. Great sound thru-out the entire bandwidth. Clear and DYnamic bass and sweet delicate highs, not as Meshsie sounding......

I really love this tube........if I didn't have to have more Type 45's for my 45PP amps , I would sell off my stash of 45's and just get another pair of EML 45S 's..
