I see a lot of those Denon slide-out decks for sale. I believe they were sold as part of a matched system, but I could be wrong. I had at one time one of the later day DRM decks, can't remember the model but it had 3-heads, and I remember thinking that it had kind of a cheap feel to it even though it sounded fantastic. I wonder if Denon shifted their production of cassette decks to China near the end?
That is funny that there is someone else on this board has 2 of the DR-M2/3/4 series decks. I have a 2 & 3 and even though I got both for under $50 each, I would not sell them for anything. Not only do they have cool looks and lots of cool gee-whiz features, but the sound is absolutely fantastic with frequency response up to 22 khz. You can get them on Ebay for dirt cheap even though they are excellent decks. I guess not many people know about them?
