Thanks for your replies, everyone.

The Sony DDs are the ones I've tended to pick up and collect over the years (WM-DDII, DDIII, DC2, D6C, DD33). I picked up a DD9 recently, and that's probably the best of the lot, and built like a tank. Some of the non-DDs seem decent too, such as the WM-701C and others with amorphous heads.
