Reminds me of the 2-track Contemporaries (CT-x series)

There were six 2-track tapes in this series, recorded by the iconic Roy duNann. I own one of them and borrowed another to make a dub. If you ever see one of these gems (2-track, 7 1/2 ips) for less than $200, think seriously about picking it up. Here they are:

CT-1 -- Shelly Manne & His Men, Swinging Sounds in Stereo
CT-2 -- Music to Listen to Barney Kessel by
CT-3 -- The Curtis Counce Group (See Note 1 below)
CT-4 -- Shelly Manne & His Friends, My Fair Lady (See Note 2 below)
CT-5 -- Howard Rumsey, Music for Lighthousekeeping
CT-6 -- Art Pepper Meets the Rhythm Section

Note 1 -- This is the one I borrowed (thanks, Chris). Absolutely superb sonics. Counce on bass, others include Jack Sheldon, Harold Land, Carl Perkins, and Frank Butler on drums who does an amazing solo on the final track.

Note 2 -- This is the one I own, with Andre Previn on piano and Leroy Vinnegar on bass. I also have the original LP and the 4-track tape version and there is no comparison with this 2-track.
