One is a 280 Scully with many mods to the transport (mechanical) and mods to the original electronics by Paul at Tube Research. Playback at 7.5 IPS and 15 IPS up to 10.5 inch reels. The other is a 270 Scully with a custom made 3/8 inch thick front plate to replicate the SP-14 plate. New drive motors, new capstan motor, special flywheels added to the the drive and capstan motors to further aid rotational mass/inertia for speed stability. Motor speed controller for the drive and capstan motors (TRL) and tube electronics for the output, (TRL). This one plays up to 14 inch reels at 15 and 30 IPS.
I have many different headstacks mounted on the HD Scully headstack mounts so I can change heads to match the recording. Taber, Saki, etc.
My previous reel machine was an ATR Services ATR-102.
