A trip to the thrifts yesterday resulted in four Ampex 351 tapes, along with some r2r parephanalia. One tape, labeled "Angie and Her Mom" features two women, one apparently elderly, the other I'd guess her adult daughter. They're strumming a ukelele, laughing and singing alternately in Hawaiian and English. What sounds like several young children are having a noisy good time in the background. All in all it sounds like a happy family gathering.
Kind of sad to find family memories languishing in a thrift store, and makes one wonder if whoever sent Dad's (or Granddad's) old r2r stuff away knew that was on the tape.
