I agree completely. Once I saw the complex crossover network and multiple drivers, I knew that these speakers are not good candidates for a single ended amp. Good candidates generally have 100dB efficiency, single driver or a mostly full range driver with a tweeter for high frequncies and a very minimal crossover, say a first order with a single capacitor. I have tried speakers in the mid 90s for efficiency and the sound is generally polite and lacks drive and dynamics. It is hard to get an exciting life like presentation when there is a lack of dynamics.
