Viridian's info is correct, but if you go to the Klipsch forum you'll find a lot of people who prefer your vertical orientation plus a lot of info on how to figure out the year of manufacture and the types of veneer that were available. Mine are from 1972, are Dark Mahogany, and I'm happy.
