There are many reason's first of which is the 300B is more involved. In general a 2A3 or 45 requires less parts and the power supply runs at a lower voltage.See most 300B amplifiers run about 450-500V on the power supply. Most 2A3's require 300V's. Better capacitors are available at less cost in the 350V range as compared to 500-630V's.
Also the 300B requires more voltage gain and DC heater supply.
All this plus the dealer mark up makes the amps more expensive.
