....*real* triodes with indirectly heated cathodes (12B4, 6AS7, 6C33) compared to directly heated (2A3, 300B, 572, etc.)? I would be curious to hear opinions from people who have heard both kinds of tubes in SET topologies and could form an opinion as to whether or not the IHT tubes have a sound more similar to DHT tubes than triode-connected pentodes.Tom §.
