I used Rhapsody for about a year. I use the subscription service.The sound quality is "ok", not great. WIndows Media 192 KHZ i think.
The only way you can download is to burn direclty to CD. Then you have to rip the CD if you want to move this to a portable. You have to pay extra per track to burh CD's. I haven't downloaded/burned CD's but I believe that it's the same quality as the streaming service. To me, it's a great streaming service, but not usefull for downloading.
If you buy the right portable, I believe that Napster allows you to move 'rented' tracks to the portable. As Win. Media 10 becomes standard this will probably become a standard featureof all the services.
But, I love it anyway. Access to the hugh selection is worth the $10/month. VIrgin also looks like a good service but I haven't tried it yet.
