It seems you haven't been monitoring any number of threads here which speak to what works best:1. Use the PiCorePlayer as a player only. Stripped down at that.
2. Feed RPi with battery (I use Jockery Giant) or linear supply.
3. Use Logitech Media Server on a server only to do the heavy lifting and support drive(s). Naturally, both RPi and server must share network connectivity. Which means adding another player is a snap. I have six players accessing mine for either audio or video content.
4. Configure a few settings with each both for best results.
5. Settings for LMS include setting Database Memory Config to "maximum" and Server Priority = High (I use -16, but exact value likely isn't critical). Just ensure server is not always busy doing something else.Web Control-->Settings-->Advanced-->Performance
6. Settings for RPi include using memory for 600k buffer to play from RAM along with disabling HDMI and declocking processor to save power. Just yesterday, I relinked posts for Ivan here.
Doing so will substantially lower noise and provide improved sound quality. Setting those parameters really shouldn't take more than about ten minutes.
Good luck!
