I liked Volumio for a long time, but more recent versions choke on hi res files and the sound quality, at least on my Mamboberry, seems much better than Volumio.
I have another setup that requires wifi, something that was very hit or miss to use in Volumio, and it works flawlessly in Rune. I just assumed the wifi kept dropping because my router was too far away, but after seeing how perfectly Rune handled wifi it became clear which piston wasn't firing.
I'm not anti Volumio and I may even go back to it in future releases, but right now Rune is treating my ears and my equipment much better.
